I’m Jadyn Burr, a senior Fibers student at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Throughout my time at SCAD, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for slow textile processes and working with natural materials. For my senior collection, I’m exploring what it means to create fashion pieces from scratch, drawing inspiration from the landscapes, textures, and color palettes of upstate Michigan. By creating my own natural dyes and working with organic and recycled materials, I aim to explore the connection between place, process, and clothing. Through this work, I hope to create thoughtful, tactile pieces that reflect the beauty of the natural world and the care involved in making them.
