Ode to Lacoste (2025)

During my study abroad trip I created a mini accessory collection consisting of two handbags I designed using machine sewing, embroidery, painting, and fabric layering. The collection was developed from samples and paintings I created to inform my final designs. All fabrics were sourced from local fabric stores and antique shops from the south of France I sourced throughout my travels.

For my final weaving 1 project I designed a purse that could be used for foraging and holding a bouquet for the trip home from a flower shop, reversible design with vintage fabric that matches the weave.

The City Blues and Natures Hues (2024)

Handweavings inspired by the contrast between living in Chicago for my first year of college (left weaving) compared to how it felt to be back home in Michigan (right weaving).

The Faded Orange Tree (2024)

A clutch purse I created in my first fibers class as an ode to the female impressionists that are often forgotten about compared to male impressionists. I wanted this piece to capture that idea of female artists throughout history fading into the background. Inspired by Berthe Morisots Painting "Under the Orange Tree" from 1889.

Color Theory assignment, asked to do a master copy using pointillism and I approached the assignment using embroidery as my method. Using Renoir's "A Young Woman in a Straw Hat" as my image to recreate.

“For Love and Lemons” Mock Repeat Pattern Collection (2025)

Client Profile

My pattern collection is created for brand "For Love and Lemons" spring/summer clothing line. Embracing the brands nature and feminine inspired designs in a repeat design collection.
In Color Theory class we picked random a word out of a basket and were challenged to create two designs, one that fits the word and one that contrasts it. I decided to approach this assignment through developing textile samples, the left composition is my rendition of how absurdity feels, and the right composition is the opposite of that feeling.

Absurdity (2024)

Design 2 class assignment. Asked "If you were to change/highlight something about your body, what would you make to do that?" I wanted to highlight my funky looking collarbone from breaking it at gymnastics, and I wanted to create an outfit that "changed" the size of my hips by exaggerating the silhouette of them.
